Meet Vicki (new owner) and Margy (current owner) of Riverside Inn

How long have you owned your business?

Our exciting news is that after eleven amazing years at The Riverside Inn, Margy and Jamie are ready to enjoy some leisure time and have sold the property to Vicki and her family to continue its legacy as a central part of the community - they’ll take over the restaurant operation as of January 4th.

What was the inspiration to start your business?

I’ve been in the restaurant industry since I started working, and restaurants have always been my ‘happy place’ - like many people I’ve long dreamed of owning my own place and The Riverside is definitely a dream come true! Over the past year, we - again like many - have been rethinking what we want our lives to look like, our own ‘new normal’, and it was being together and being in control of our own destiny.

What is your favourite part of being a small business owner?

We’re guessing at this of course but we’re most looking forward to making our own decisions about how we work.

What do you wish people knew about your business?

We want people to know how much we look forward to continuing and building on all of the great work that Jamie & Margy have done over the past decade.

Who is your greatest supporter?

Right now it’s Jamie & Margy - and the whole Riverside team for sure! They’ve been absolutely amazing during this transition of ownership - they’ve welcomed us whole-heartedly and we’re so thankful for them all.
