Meet Julie Taylor, Owner of Country Cupboard
How long have you owned your business?
Almost 4 years.
What was the inspiration to start your business?
My inspiration to buy the business was to have an impact greater than my own. To help our community to reduce waste by making it easy, and improve our health by making the products they need to do so available.
What is your favourite part of being a small business owner?
My favourite part of being a small business owner is being a business that has the ethics and values that I always wanted to support as a consumer, and being the boss to my employees that emulates the boss I always wanted as an employee.
What do you wish people knew about your business?
I wish people knew the value they are getting when they spend their money at Country Cupboard (and anywhere local) and the positive impact it has on our community.
Who is your greatest supporter?
Our greatest supporters are our customers who go out of their way to shop with us and are always adaptable to buying a comparable product to be loyal to shopping local vrs being loyal to a brand.
What are you most proud of about your business?
I’m most proud to help our customers find what they need to improve their health and their environmental impact.
