Meet Holly Suddick, Shauna Webster, and Kayla Webster owners of The Doll House Boutique
How long have you owned your business?
Under one year, we opened in July 2021.
What was the inspiration to start your business?
We live in the Lindsay area and love shopping local but noticed a lack of young and contemporary and affordable clothing. We were sick of having to make the commute to Oshawa or Peterborough and decided to fill that gap in Lindsay!
What is your favourite part of being a small business owner?
To give back to our community, being able to make donations to the things that are most important to us. We love that we are able to create jobs and train our staff to grow and succeed.
What do you wish people knew about your business?
Even though we are called “The Doll House” we don’t sell dolls or children’s clothing. We have clothing for ladies of all ages.
Who is your greatest supporter?
Each other. The three of us have been best friends since grade 6. We have experienced our whole lives together and know each other better than anyone else. We are all about women supporting each other and pushing each other to succeed.
What are you most proud of about your business?
I think just seeing everything come together. Starting from an idea and working hard to make that dream come true. We often find us selves taking a step back and looking at the store, thinking about how far we have come.

Fashionable, on trend, affordable!
